Cement Plant

Lime, Oregon - This old plant, has numerous claims concerning unearthly growls that have been heard as well as
reports of apparitions that wander the grounds following people. It is also claimed that there is always something
changed, things are moved after you walk by so when you go back it appears changed.
The cement plant located just off the highway heading into the of town of Huntington, Oregon and just off the old
Oregon trail. The cement plant has been vacant since around 1980 with stone being quarried from this site since the
late 1880's.
After reading several dreaded web post about the Cement plant, I decided that since I was in the area that it should
be worth a look.
My first glimpse of the alleged unearthly plant was nearing sunset leaving me only short time to search. Making my
way up the winding gravel road and looking down on the plant which is scared by graffiti and decay, it was easy to
see how the night could turn this crumbling plant into a habitat for ghost and monsters.
The plant was built to mine lime stone. It is widely believed in the paranormal field that limestone is a receptor
that can store energy, such as emotions. The storing of this energy is much like the storing of audio and video and
has no intelligent properties. To my knowledge there is no scientific proof to validate the claims that lime stone has
the ability to store energy.
It is interesting to attempt to associate the stories of this location with many stories of beast and other creatures
that reside within the deep underground. Of course, I have never seen any proof that the stories are more than just
stories. With the right preparations and permission of the land owners I'm sure that a night investigation would
provide something to talk about.
