The Queen Mary, was christen in 1937 and has assumed many roles. She served as a passenger ship,
medical and troop transport during WW2. She holds the record for carrying the most people ever
on a floating vessel (16,683), and participated in the D-Day invasion.
For the last 30 years she has been sitting quietly in the harbor at Long beach, California, biding her
days as a tourist attraction. Though venture of her dangerous past is now but history, many
eyewitness testimony claim that ghost of her past still roam and reside within her.
Our experiences: July, 2005, we had the brief but welcome opportunity to spend a night aboard
the Queen Mary. We started our exploration of this great ship late in the evening, thinking that we
could easily find our way through dimly lit halls and the maze of doors and stairways. With the
Queen Mary being over a 1000 ft in length we soon realized that a single night could not do her
justice. Since our time was limited, we decide that a general walk through would have to be
sufficient. We made our way to the famous B322 room, the Carpathia room, the 3rd floor nursery,
door 13, and pool room to mention just a few of this ship alleged paranormal hot spots. Though our
electronic equipment picked up nothing that we could determine to be paranormal in nature it was
truly a experience to remember.
Our second visit in August 2007, gave us several days to explore and learn more about the Queen
Mary. On our first night we were able to join along with Beyond Investigations, a paranormal team
researching the history and alleged paranormal events aboard the Queen Mary.
On our second night we set off on our own to cover areas that required a smaller team. We noted as
one progresses down to the lower decks voices and sounds echo and can be carried to the decks
below and above. During the scope of the investigation we heard several unknown voices in the
background .
Though we picked up no photo evidence we did hear several voices. Being in the lower decks there
was no way we could eliminate the voices from possibly originating from guest aboard the Queen
Mary echoing from the above decks down into the lower levels of the ship.
On the morning of the third day we found ourselves departing from the Queen Mary, again, with
unanswered questions about her alleged haunted activities.
