To begin with we researched and reviewed the conflicting history accounts of the Myrtles Plantation.
While there is a conflict of stories it appears that it is agreed upon that there is some type of
paranormal activity present at the plantation.
Our observations and experiences: We took hundreds of photos, hours of video and audio at the
Myrtles Plantation. We found nothing unusual from any of the outside pictures and video. From all of
the inside still pictures taken we noted one of interest. One picture reveals a unidentified object almost
directly mid level at the window. (See picture on Myrtle's page)
Concerning audio recordings: We recorded only one voice that could not be accounted for. The
voice sounds like that of a young female child voice saying 'hello'.
Summary: Unlike the stationary energy balls, OPI has never have been able to reproduce the
unidentified object such as the one photographed at the Myrtles Plantation. It could be that they are a
result of one particle layered upon another giving pretense to actually moving. It could be a dust
particle caught in a unusual stream of air giving it a unusual type of movement. It could be a result of
paranormal activity.
A interesting note on the Myrtles Plantation unidentified object is that we did not catch any fake orbs
at all, no dust, etc, inside the house. This was the only picture with any unidentified object in it. This is
unusual since past experience we usually find that if you catch dust/pollen/dirt/ etc , in a particular
location at least some of the other pictures will also show stationary dust/pollen/dirt. This was not the
case with the Myrtles Plantation.
We did record one EVP. It sounds like that of a female child. It does not respond directly to our leading
questions.
Intelligent haunting requires that the entity interface directly with the living. The EVP response did not
communicate with us in a intelligent manner in replying to our questions. On the other hand what we
hear is a "hello" which could be a sign of attempted intelligent communication.
One picture of a unidentified object does not prove any type of paranormal activity. Even when
associated with the one EVP it is not enough for OPI to state that the Myrtles Plantation is haunted.
We have intentionally withheld labeling anything paranormal or haunted based upon the minimum
evidence that we currently have. We would certainly require and welcome the opportunity to further
investigate the location if the opportunity becomes available.
